The survey has closed. Thank you to everyone that completed the Te Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi O Ngāpuhi Survey 2019. Ngā mihi ki a koutou katoa.

Education is a critical component of our Ngāpuhi strategy going forward - we make this submission to ensure the desire and aspirations of our Ngāpuhi whānau are expressed and encapsulated into this report.

Despite the resource that has gone into the formation of this report, and the lack of oversight and acknowledgment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi, Ngāpuhi are failing to see how these reforms will benefit Ngāpuhi. We are particularly concerned at the absence of addressing inequality in this report.

Te Rūnanga-Ā-Iwi O Ngāpuhi acknowledges that tourism is recognised as an important driver of economic growth by increasing living standards and providing employment and business opportunities for local communities.

In preparation for the AGM Takiwā Elections 2019, candidates for eligibility must attend the following monthly hui:

  • Wed 1 May at Mokonuiarangi Marae, 6pm
  • Wed 5 June at Mataitaua Marae, 6pm
  • Wed 3 July at Piki Te Aroha Marae, 6pm

AGM: Saturday 31 August 2019, at Mangamuka Marae, 10am
